Application for Full Accredited Membership of the AIPP is a relatively simple process. To apply click on the PDF link to the left, download and complete the one page application form. Annual membership is $450 together with a one off joining fee of $100 Completed forms should be sent, together with the appropriate fee to the AIPP National Office

Joining Criteria
Full Accredited Membership is the pinnacle of AIPP membership and provides a significant range of benefits. You can become a full accredited member if you meet the institute's current definition of a "Professional Photographer".
Currently this definition requires that you are employed as professional photographer and you have worked in the industry for a minimum of two years.
Alternatively, you can apply for full accredited membership if you have successfully completed a minimum two years full time professional photography course and are now working as a professional photographer
Application Sponsors
In addition to completing the membership application form above, you will also need to download the application sponsor form. You need two application sponsors who are current AIPP full accredited members.
Application Sponsors are responsible for assessing your portfolio
Portfolio Assessment - what you need to provide Application Sponsors are responsible for assessing your portfolio. You need to show your application sponsor a minimum of 20 of your images. These should be presented as if your application sponsor was your client.
Your images should be from your core business - i.e. if you are a commercial photographer, show images from your commissioned work. If you are a wedding photographers, show a finished product such as a wedding album.
Portfolio format Your portfolio can be presented in a printed form on on CD/DVD
Send your completed application form together with your completed sponsor forms and the appropriate fee to the AIPP National Office.

Please allow 3-4 weeks for your application to be processed. After this time you will receive notification of your membership by mail or e-mail from the AIPP National Office.
Application Verification
Your application will be given provisional approval pending the advertising of your name to AIPP members in the next issue of The Working Pro national newsletter.
Current AIPP members have the right to object to your application. Objections must be received in writing to the National Office within 14 days of the publication of the newsletter.
Should your application be unsuccessful, you will be accepted as an Affiliate of the AIPP. After a reasonable period and after the continued support of your mentors your application may be re-assessed for full membership.
