17TH FEBRUARY 2017
5PM START - FINISH 9PM
ROOM UPDATE - TAFE BRISBANE, MT GRAVATT CAMPUS, 1030 CAVENDISH ROAD, MT GRAVATT, QLD, 4122
Come for a SPECIAL PRESENTATION by Bruce Williams from Epson at 5pm, then stay for the Print Critique from 6pm to 9pm.
The AIPP Queensland Epson Professional Photography Awards are just around the corner so it's time to get organised!
This is your chance to book for our "Creating Award Images" evening on Friday 17th February 2017. We will be getting back-to-basics and demystifying the process to enter the state and national awards.
We'll be covering the 5 steps to creating an award image:
1. Choosing an image from your portfolio
2. Retouching your image within the rules
3. Paper choices
4. Printing your images
5. Matting and presentation for AIPP award image standards
After this presentation and Q&A, bring up to FOUR of your prints to our QEPPA Print Critique #1 for 2017. Our team of esteemed state and national judges guarantee to critique at least TWO. It is important to utilise this opportunity for professional feedback and advice. If you are not able to make our print critique on the 17th of February, never fear we have one final opportunity on the 8th of March.
Please take note that anyone who is not seeded for entry into this year's National Awards (APPA), will need to enter the State Awards and have two or more of your images achieve scores of 80 or higher, so this feedback is critical to your success!
Pizza, drinks and answers! All served with a healthy side of social interaction. If you've never been to one of these, you're missing out on an awesome night. New members and newcomers to the Awards, be sure to come along, as this is the perfect opportunity to have all of your questions answered.
We look forward to seeing you there!
